e-Science
The DCC provides research and support on data curation issues in a spirit of partnership with the UK's growing e-Science community.
One of our key aims is to embed digital curation principles and best practice through close collaboration with data creators and curators, and the main vehicles for this alliance include a range of national and international fora for data producers, managers and users, as well as policy makers.
Key to our success will be an appreciation of the novel requirements of individual disciplines, which is being acquired through the pursuit of effective working relationships with leading e-Science research groups.
Our partners in this informal alliance include: the National e-Science Centre (NeSC), its hosted e-Science Institute (eSI) - and the Manchester e-Research Centre (MeRC), as well as the principal UK national data centres.
