e-Science

During Phase 2 (March 2007 - February 2010) the DCC provided research and support on data curation issues in a spirit of partnership with the UK's growing e-Science community.

Find out more about the history of the DCC.

One of our key aims was to embed digital curation principles and best practice through close collaboration with data creators and curators, and the main vehicles for this alliance included a range of national and international fora for data producers, managers and users, as well as policy makers.

Our partners in this informal alliance included: the National e-Science Centre (NeSC), its hosted e-Science Institute (eSI) - and the Manchester e-Research Centre (MeRC), as well as the principal UK national data centres.
