Use of your data
The DCC is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users while providing the highest possible quality of service. The DCC is not a legal entity but consists of the three Partner Institutions (please see section index statement), which are legal entities.
Each of the Partner Institutions is registered under the Data Protection Act and is a data controller as defined in that Act.
Should you wish to access any information that the Partner Institutions store about you, please write to the relevant institution via the main DCC address published on our contact us page.
If you are not sure which institution you should contact please e-mail the DCC helpdesk on info@dcc.ac.uk who will help you to identify the appropriate institution(s).
Collection of Information from our Clients
In order to allow you to upload events or resources, or to register for DCC events, we need to know certain personal information (for example, your e-mail address).
This will be used only for the purposes for which you provide it or for any further purposes to which you consent (see next paragraph for further details).
The information may be transferred between the DCC Partner Institutions but only for the purposes of the DCC. We will not sell, rent or trade any personal information you provide to us.
Keeping you Informed
We would like to tell you by e-mail or other electronic means about products and services that we offer which we believe may be of interest to you.
If you would like to receive these messages please tick the relevant box when filling in your details on this site or other DCC form.
Alternatively, you may e-mail us at info@dcc.ac.uk at any time to request that you are added to or removed from the list of people who receive these messages.
We will not send you any unsolicited third-party commercial e-mail unless you have given your prior consent, which you may give by ticking an appropriate box when filling in your details on this site or other DCC form.
This box will be separate from the box that relates to DCC products and services to allow you to receive one type of messages and not the other. Again, you may also e-mail us at info@dcc.ac.uk at any time to request that you are added to or removed from the list of people who receive these messages.
