Data Management Infrastructure Helpdesk

This section was created in response to JISC Grant Funding Call 07/09: Data Management Infrastructure [external] for bids for projects to identify requirements for, and then build, infrastructure for effective data management within or across HEIs.

The JISC held a Data Management Infrastructure Briefing Day [external] on Monday 6 July 2009 where potential bidders were given information about the background to the call, its objectives, an overview of support available, and an outline of the bidding process. A summary of the questions and answers [external] is available.

We will provide general support for this strand of activities and for the programme more broadly. This will be done by contributions to programme events as well as the current channels of information, and through our principal role as a broker for expertise and advice in the management and curation of data. Projects are encouraged to engage directly with us and our programme of information exchange — for example, by contributing to our Research Data Management Forum (RDMF).
