DUKE OF EDINBURGH VISITS DCC

His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh, enjoyed a visit to the Digital Curation Centre on 17 February 2005 to celebrate its launch in November 2004. Arriving at the centre in the morning, the Duke was given a short presentation before being introduced to DCC staff to talk about their activities. View several photographs of the event.

PRESS RELEASE: New UK Centre to Help Secure the Future of Digital Data.

The JISC and the eScience Core Programme announced today funding of some £1.3m a year for a Digital Curation Centre, based on collaboration between the Universities and the Research Councils.
