IDCC13 - Award for best poster
Award for best poster at IDCC13
Last year, for the first time ever, delegates at the International Digital Curation Conference were invited to vote for the best poster.
The three winning posters were:
- DM Vitals: A Data Management Assessment Recommendation Tool presented by Sherry Lake, University of Virginia Library & Susan Borda, Syracruse University (pictured in photo)
- Making Data Visible: Data Citation Policy and Implementation at NCAR presented by Matthew S Mayernik, Karon Kelly, Mary Marlino & Mike Wright, National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)
- Reimagining the institutional repository as an open data archive presented by Lisa Johnson, University of Minnesota
We will be running the poster competition again at IDCC13 so if you want a chance for glory make sure you submit your poster title, authors, institution details and abstract via ConfTool by 29 October 2012.
If your poster submission is accepted you will then be required to produce a poster for display at the conference and to submit a PDF of your poster which will be added to the conference website.
During the conference there will be a dedicated presentation session in the main auditorium at which each poster author will be invited to give a short one minute pitch for their poster/demo.
"Minute madness" is a real highlight in the programme and will be followed by the Community Space session - during which time delegates will have the opportunity to see the poster exhibition and talk with the presenters.
