"Ten years back, ten years forward: achievements, lessons and the future for digital curation"
For a decade IDCC has bought together leaders and experts in digital curation and the significance of good curation to research and innovation is now recognised across the globe.

The Call for Papers has now been released for the 9th International Digital Curation Conference which will be held in San Francisco from 24-27 February 2014.
The theme for the conference is
Commodity, catalyst or change-agent? Data-driven transformations in research, education, business and society.

I'm very pleased to announce that we're able to make one final extension to the early bird booking rates for IDCC13 (the International Digital Curation Conference), and one final extension to the booking deadline. Both are now extended until January 2nd 2013. We're able to do this because bookings have been so successful that we've covered our fixed costs and don't need the extra income that late booking fees bring. We're sharing our success with you and offering extended lower rates right up to the last possible moment.

Only just over 8 weeks to go until IDCC13 in Amsterdam!
Don't forget to register soon to take advance of the current registration fees and to book for the workshops of your choice as some will be limited in terms of delegate numbers.
The conference programme is taking shape and is now almost complete. Our most recent speaker to be confirmed is Dr Ewan Birney, Associate Director of the EMBL-European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI), Ewan will be giving the opening keynote.

Details of the IDCC13 Workshop Programme are now available.
The workshops will be held on Monday 14 January and Thursday 17 January 2013 at the Mövenpick Hotel, in Amsterdam City Centre.
