This CODATA resource lists statements that express the policies of a number of organizations on data issues. Most of these are related in some way to the environmental sciences, where international sharing of data on a global scale is essential to progress in research.

A Techno-Legal Analysis Of Digital Preservation In India

Digital Preservation is neither a technical nor a legal issue. Rather it is a techno-legal mandate that requires domain specific techno-legal expertise. The technology as well as legal issues are involved almost with all the segments of the society. The scope of digital preservation is increasing and so is its importance. The resource abovementioned is one of the few techno-legal resources that are analysing digital preservation from a techno-legal perspective.

European project with worldwide community, researching and implementing advanced open source software solutions for the sharing and exploitation of digital cultural resources.

Library of Congress Transfer Tools (BagIt, and so on)

This project includes tools for use with BagIt [external PDF], a hierarchical file packaging format for the exchange of digital content jointly developed by the Library of Congress and the California Digital Library. The Library plans to release additional tools as part of a suite of solutions and software development resources as they are completed over time. There are already more tools in the pipeline. Functionality:  Three tools developed by the Library's Repository Development Group are available now.

WebCite® is a project initiated by the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation at the University of Toronto intended to digitally archive web material (web pages, PDF documents, and so on) which are cited in scholarly articles. The idea of WebCite is that authors of scholarly papers (as well as editors and publishers of scholarly work) are increasingly citing digital material which is in the public domain on the web, yet which is at risk to disappear, i.e.
