Objectives

The Collections Trust originated as the limited company, the Museum Documentation Association. It campaigns to ensure that collections are accessible to the public through promoting best practice, encouraging innovation and representing the interests of the sector.

Areas of Activity

The Collections Trust is a national advisory service for collections management. Its activities include: running a national advisory service on Collections Management; maintaining and developing standards; giving advice regarding the use of standards and digital media; facilitating networks of relevant organisations.

Membership

The Collections Trust is not a membership organisation.
