Full Title

Australian Governments’ Interactive Functions Thesaurus

Description

The Australian Governments’ Interactive Functions Thesaurus (AGIFT) provides standard vocabulary for Australian Commonwealth, state and local governments to describe functions, as required by the Australian Standards AS5044: AGLS Metadata Element Set. It is designed to help users search information relating to government and to provide a framework for individual agencies to develop a more detailed thesaurus.

AGIFT is a hierarchical thesaurus with three levels and accompanying scope notes. 25 functions are described at the highest level. It references non-preferred terms and related terms, and provides cross-references.
