case study

Recently we ran a 'quick poll' on DCC publication plans, on the Jiscmail research data management list. Since then we've agreed with Jisc our publication plan to respond to that poll, and it includes the resources listed below.  You can find more details of the responses we received and our plan to address them here.

How to guides and checklists

Monica Duke and Stephen Gray have collaborated on a new case study for the DCC.
Assigning Digital Object Identifiers to Research Data at the University of Bristol
The case study covers the process of assigning DOIs to research data at the University of Bristol. Details are provided on the new research data repository at Bristol and their use of the DataCite service. The case study lists some practical examples of the process and notes a number of issues that have been addressed.

The DCC is pleased to release a case study on the improvement of Research Data Management at Monash University. We're very grateful to Sam Searle, Anthony Beitz, Wilna Macmillan and Andrew Harrison for their input to this.
The case study accompanies our forthcoming How to guide on developing RDM infrastructure and services. It acts as an example of how one institution has addressed the various activities and components that need to be delivered.
