FOSTER Plus aims to contribute to a real and lasting shift in the behaviour of European researchers to ensure that Open Science (OS) becomes the norm. To this end, a key objective for the FOSTER project has been to develop a set of ten training courses targeted towards early career researchers.

From 3-7 July 2017, EUDAT is organising a Summer School to introduce early-career researchers to the principles and tools needed for careers in data science and data management. The week-long training course will be set in the stunning landscapes of Heraklion, Crete, and kindly hosted by FORTH.

The European Commission has released new Guidelines on FAIR Data Management in Horizon 2020. There are a few key changes and a new template for DMPs which has been added to DMPonline.

On 4-5 May 2011, the Eurpoean Commission's Cultural Heritage and Technology Enhanced Learning unit hosted a workshop for invited experts in the field of digital preservation. It was attended by around 60 representatives from universities and research centres, memory institutions, and industry.
