The University of Glasgow is offering a fully-funded 4 year PhD studentship on managing data related to animal disease outbreaks. This is supported by the Lord Kelvin Adam Smith (LKAS) programme and is suited to those with an interest in digital preservation, data management and epidemiology.

Earlier this month, the EPSRC announced its new data policy outlining that it expects all those institutions it funds to have developed a clear roadmap by 1st May 2012, and to be fully compliant with these expectations by 1st May 2015.

The JISC-funded Incremental project has released its scoping study into researchers' data management needs at the Universities of Cambridge and Glasgow.
