The DCC invites the submission of papers, posters and demonstrations for the second day of the conference and will welcome contribution and participation from individuals, organisations and institutions across all disciplines and domains that are engaged in the creation, use and management of digital data from researchers and curators through to policy makers and funders.

Call for Papers, Posters and Demonstrations
Proposals will be considered for papers, posters and demonstrations on the following topics:
Main Topics
- Sustainability and collaboration: the nature and development of collaborative strategies; policy development; economic and business models; funding models and building long-term sustainability; audit and certification; intellectual property rights; collaborative collection development; capacity building and training requirements
- Access to and re-use of curated data: discovery; citation, identification and linking; annotation and review; data integration and interoperability; access management and control
- Object lifecycles: data creation, capture and derivation; supporting the publication and deposit of data; data validation and authenticity; preserving contexts and provenance
- Preservation for long-term access: the preservation of dynamic objects; preservation approaches; formats and representation information; repository development; ingest workflows
- Tools and techniques
Those who have papers accepted will be eligible to apply for a grant to assist with travel expenses. Priority will be given to post-graduate and post doctorate students.
Important Dates
- Final submission date for papers: 31 August 2007
- Notification of paper authors: 15 October 2007
- Paper final copy deadline: 30 November 2007
- Final submission date for posters/demonstrations: 31 October 2007
Instructions for Submitting Papers, Posters and Demonstrations
- Papers: Up to 12 pages in length. Our Conference Proceedings will include copies of all the papers accepted.
- Posters/Demonstrations: One page description of poster or demonstration. Posters and demonstrations will be available for view during refreshment breaks.
Please send electronic copies of your papers, and poster and demonstration descriptions to: dcc-papers@ukoln.ac.uk.
We request that all papers be submitted according to templates made available for the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) format in RTF or LaTeX and in PDF.
