Because good research needs good data

Visual Arts Data Skills for Researchers

16 June 2014 |

This session will explore the nature of 'research data' in the creative arts, its importance, and the basic principles and reasons for data curation and preservation. It will also introduce participants to the creation of a research data management plan and the essential requirements of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Technical Summary and Plan.

The workshop will be held in the new Reid Building by Steven Holl Architects with its translucent glass facade, which is designed to be in 'complementary contrast' to the famous Charles Rennie Mackintosh building of 1909 for the Glasgow School of Art located opposite.  The Reid Building was officially opened in April 2014.
