Benefits of Attendance

This workshop benefited anyone interested in collecting and managing digital archival collections. Specifically, it explored key issues associated with developing a pre-ingest strategy, ingest processes, and preservation activity.

Format

This two-day event was split over two sessions:

  • The first session explored pre-ingest activity and included presentations on developing a pre-ingest strategy, improving contact with content creators and depositors, and understanding the benefits of compliance with standards.
  • The second session included presentations that illustrated ingest processes for a range of record types, format identification, and preservation activity.
