Dramatic Progress in the Adoption of Open Access Self-Archiving Mandates

According to Stevan Harnad, Professor of Cognitive Science at Southampton University, there has been dramatic progress in the adoption of Open Access Self-Archiving Mandates lately: ROARMAP (Registry of Open Access Repository Material Archiving Policies) and ROAR (Registry of Open Access Repositories) now list 497 institutional repositories registered to date; 29 institutional or funder self-archiving policies; 10 self-archiving mandates; and 4 funder self-archiving mandates.
