We plan to run a one-day workshop co-located with the RDA plenary in Melbourne. "RDM service delivery models: procure, provide, partner" builds on ideas that emerged in discussion at the CODATA RDM symposium in Goettingen in March 2018, as well as discussions DCC have since held with institutions across the globe in terms of service procurement.

Many institutions are committed to open source technology but may not have developers in house, or find it hard to make the case to adopt such technologies due to perceptions they are immature. When procuring services, how can you ensure the process is open to all and doesn't preference certain providers? What are the best ways to provide RDM services in partnership with others? And how can you have a strong voice to guide the direction of tools you subscribe to?

All of this and more will be covered at the workshop. If you are interested in attending, please note preferences in the googledoc. We plan to run this on 16th to avoid clashes with other co-located workshops but have venues at La Trobe University booked for 16th and 17th while we confirm preferences. We hope to confirm details in the next few days once we hear back from all speakers.

Registration will be open by the end of February. Thanks for your understanding at the short notice on logistical details!
