Working in the team supporting the Faculty of Media, Arts and Social Sciences, you will manage, develop and promote the University's special collections and archives which include the England's Dreaming Jon Savage archive of punk and the Frankie Vaughan music archive. The role also carries responsibility for collection management, user education, academic liaison and enquiry support in Art and Design. You will be a qualified librarian, archivist or information professional with experience of working with special collections and archive materials and providing user support.

You will have a good understanding of archival standards, funding opportunities and digitisation technologies. Good oral and written communication skills are essential as the duties will include promotion of the special collections and producing interpretative materials, including Web pages.
