Two jobs available at Amnesty International
We have two positions available in the Information Resources Programme of Amnesty International's International Secretariat in Clerkenwell.
Online Information Review Officer
6 month project
Amnesty International is seeking a qualified information professional to undertake a review of its access to newswires and other online databases. The current budget for these services is approximately £100,000 and we will be seeking to obtain better value in terms of matching our needs more closely and comprehensively, rather than reducing the overall spend.
The project will undertake a review of requirements through user consultation, research and identify potential services and suppliers to meet those needs and produce a report with recommendations by the end of the period.
Applicants should have experience of developing and leading projects relating to information audits, designing questionnaires and interviewing. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, analytical and report writing skills, experience of working in a project team and an ability to prioritize work are essential for this post, as are the ability to work with a range of software and work within the procedures of a self managing team.
We would be willing to consider a part time arrangement.

Archivist (This position will not be advertised in ARC Recruitments)
Amnesty International’s International Secretariat requires a qualified and experienced Archivist to maintain and develop its rich archive of material collected since the birth of the organization in 1961. You will work with an Archives Assistant, as part of the six-person Records Management team, to collect and list the organization’s archives and to provide access to the archives for staff, AI sections and other users as appropriate. You should have an interest in moving forward into the challenging realm of digital archiving. Good communication skills in English are essential and the ability to read Spanish or French would be an advantage.
