6th International Web Archiving Workshop (IWAW'06)

The 6th International Web Archiving Workshop (IWAW'06) will take place Thursday 21st of September and Friday 22nd in Alicante, Spain.

We are very happy to welcome two keynotes speakers this year: Laura
Cambell, Associate Librarian for Strategic Initiatives, Library of
Congress, on Web Archiving Networks and Catherine Lupovici, IIPC Programme Officer, on the future of IIPC.

Several Sessions will take place during the 2 days of the workshop:
Current Web archiving projects presentation, Optimization for Web
Archiving, Streaming archiving and Annotation.

We will also have a practical session on tools demonstration with the
official release as open source of the IIPC’s Web Curator Tool developed by NLNZ and BL, Hanzoweb, a new social web archiving service, Archive-it service and update on the development of
HERITRIX, NUTCH-WAX and the new WayBack Machnie but the Internet Archive.

Time has also been reserved to have meetings on areas of future collaboration (IIPC, European projects etc.)

So lots to see and hear this year!
