Vacancy: eIUS Project Manager/Analyst

The eIUS Project is funded under the JISC e-Infrastructure Programme (community engagement and support). One of the project deliverables will be a set of SUMs relating to the use of e-infrastructure within the UK research community.

Do you have experience of managing applied research projects? Would you know how to gather, analyse and record the use of advanced computing infrastructure by researchers in any discipline? Do you think you could explain terms like e-infrastructure, e-research, use case and service usage model? Could you keep a team together using online tools for collaboration? If you can answer yes to these questions then we invite you to consider applying for the combined role of Project Manager/Senior Analyst for the e-Infrastructure Use Cases and Service Usage Models (eIUS) project (http://www.eius.ac.uk/).

The eIUS Project aims to to gather and document evidence of how e-infrastructure is being used to solve research problems in all major disciplines. The project is conducting interviews and producing a series of experience reports, use cases, and service usage models. The Project Manager/Senior Analyst will manage the project and take a leading role in documenting the adoption of e-infrastructure within the UK research community. The ideal applicant will already be familiar with the UK e-science programme and the emerging strategy for e-infrastructure in the UK.
