New FP7 Projects

Five new projects resulting from ICT Call 3, supported with 23.5 mio euro EU-funding, have just started or will be launched in February 2009: 3D-COFORM will focus on the digitisation of cultural heritage artefacts; Coordination Action DL.org will create a framework where representatives from digital library initiatives and projects collaborate, share experiences and expertise; KEEP will address the problems of transferring digital objects stored on outdated computer media onto current devices; PrestoPRIME will address long-term preservation of and access to digital audio-visual content by integrating media archives with European on-line digital libraries; and V-City will create a system that integrates computer vision, 3D-modelling and virtual reality research for rapid and cost-effective reconstruction, visualisation and exploitation of interactive urban environments.
