"Information: A Fundamental Construct" Draft Textbook Available for Comment

The draft textbook "Information: A Fundamental Construct" is a broad overview of information science and systems which includes topics such as HCI, repositories, preservation, text retrieval, natural language, simulation, and multimedia. The book is currently in use by two courses at Drexel University: a 200-level undergradute Information Science overview, and a first course in a masters program. Study questions and PowerPoint files for teaching accompany each chapter. Comments, corrections, and questions are welcome.
