Two New ICABS Publications on Digital Preservation Now Available
In 2004-2005, The National Library of the Netherlands [external] (Koninklijke Bibliotheek) conducted a survey for the IFLA-CDNL Alliance for Bibliographic Standards (ICABS) on the use and development of standards in digital archiving within the international library world. A report from this survey, "Networking for digital preservation: Current Practice in 15 National Libraries," [external PDF, 1.9MB] is now available.In 2004-2005, The National Library of the Netherlands [external] (Koninklijke Bibliotheek) conducted a survey for the IFLA-CDNL Alliance for Bibliographic Standards (ICABS) on the use and development of standards in digital archiving within the international library world. In the same period the National Library of Australia [external] also carried out a survey for ICABS on digital preservation that focused on the availability of suitable guidance documents for preserving digital materials. A report from this survey, "Report to ICABS on guidance for digital preservation: Report on a survey of Sources" [external PDF, 404KB], is also available.
