LOCKSS Training Workshop

The LOCKSS Technical Support Service held a one day training workshop for the LOCKSS Pilot Programme at HATII, University of Glasgow. This workshop covered interactions with the LOCKSS system, examined available content and the circumstances under which this content can be cached and used, and provided an overview of the programme plan for the remainder of the project.

Format

The training contained practical, hands-on exercises to ensure Pilot Programme participants were familiar with the functionality offered by their LOCKSS systems. Discussion sessions detailed the architecture of LOCKSS and described how it worked within an institution's environment. Participants were also given the opportunity to share their experiences with the LOCKSS Pilot Programme so far.

Tutorial sessions included:

  • Interactions with the LOCKSS system
  • Content and the circumstances under which this content can be cached and served
  • An overview of steps planned for the remainder of the project
