Legal Environment of Digital Curation

This one-day workshop provided a useful overview of legal considerations for non-legal professionals who work with data. The day comprised talks by experts in the following areas:
- Intellectual property rights and licensing
- Data protection, freedom of information and privacy
- Data as evidence
These talks were followed by group discussion on each of these areas in the afternoon.
