Travel Information for International Visitors

We are excited to welcome guests from around the world! Please review the following information regarding travel requirements and visa arrangements for entry into Croatia.

Entry Requirements

Travelers to Croatia must comply with the current passport, and border regulations as required by Croatian authorities. Entry requirements may vary depending on your country of origin, so we strongly recommend checking official sources prior to your trip

Schengen Area travelers: Travelers from other Schengen countries do not need to show their identity card or passport when traveling to or from Croatia if coming from a Schengen country. However, we strongly advise bringing your passport or identity card in case you need to prove your identity.

Traveling from the UK: UK travelers visiting Croatia should ensure their passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. UK citizens do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

Non-Schengen travelers: Entering Croatia from countries outside the Schengen area is possible upon presentation of a valid passport and visa. Please check exact entry requirements depending on your nationality and country of the origin:

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.

EU Entry/Exit System

The new Entry/Exit System (EES) will start operations on 12 October 2025. European countries using the EES will introduce the system gradually at their external borders. This means that data collection will be gradually introduced at border crossing points with full implementation by 10 April 2026.
