Antica Čulina, Senior Scientist, The Ruđer Boskovic Institute
Anitca is an evolutionary ecologist and meta-scientist with expertise in evidence synthesis, open science, and social bond dynamics. Her research focuses on achieving two complementary goals: (1) understanding processes and patterns in nature, often disturbed by anthropogenic pressures, via evidence synthesis; (2) enabling ecological research to reach its full potential by researching the scientific process itself, understanding and optimising it.
She works as a senior scientist at the Ruđer Boskovic Institute, Zagreb, where she leads the project on empowering ecological research via open science and meta-research. Antica serves as a steering board member of Open Science NL, executive director of SPI-Birds Network and Database, and as a board member of the EOSC policy subgroup. She was also a founding member of the Society for Open, Reliable, and Transparent Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (SORTEE).
