This practical tutorial provided a contextual overview of the need for an evidence based evaluation of digital repositories and offered an overview of the DCC pilot audits to date.
This unique three day residential course delivered a comprehensive overview of the practical challenges and solutions to effective repository implementation. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in scholarly debates on current repository theory and gain hands-on experience with repository software and tools. A range of interactive seminars, practical workshops, lectures and panel sessions were delivered by a range of expert practitioners drawing from projects such as DAEDALUS, TARDIS, SHERPA, Repository Bridge and the RSP.

This workshop brought together an interdisciplinary group of researchers and practitioners who addressed archival issues associated with databases. All participants' presentations were hosted by the workshop site and a short report with the final conclusions of the workshop discussions will be published. PresDB was organised by a small executive committee. The one-day program comprised oral presentations and brainstorming sessions. Attendance was mainly by invitation from the executive committee.
In this one-day workshop, targeted at those already familiar with geospatial data use and management, participants shared information about the following areas: citing geospatial databases; geospatial data formats and metadata; and geospatial repositories and storage.
