As the first in the Digital Curation Centre's Visitor Programme, Michael Lesk, Rutgers University, presented "Online Data and Scientific Progress: Content in Cyberinfrastructure".
Peter Buneman gave a presentation entitled "Discovery and Application of Information at Informatics: Defining the Research Agenda" at the University of Indiana, USA.

Several members of the DCC team attended the Joint Programmes Meeting organized by the JISC Development Group, held at the De Vere Grand Hotel, Brighton. The DCC participated in the poster session on 6 July. Peter Burnhill and David Giaretta presented a paper about the work of the DCC on 7 July. Bridget Robinson presented a poster session giving an overview of DCC aims.
Peter Buneman, Associate Director (Research), gave an inaugural lecture entitled "Endangered data - why databases matter" in Lecture Theatre 2 of Appleton Tower, University of Edinburgh.
