The Institute consists of one five-day session in May 2011 and a two-day follow-up session and a day-long symposium in January 2012. Each day of the summer session will include lectures, discussion and hands-on "lab" components. A course pack and a private, online discussion space will be provided to supplement learning and application of the material. An opening reception dinner on Sunday, break time snacks and coffee, and a dinner on Thursday will also be included.
The School of Information and Library Science (SILS) and School of Government (SOG) at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) will hold a day-long seminar called “The Curation of Social Media as a Public Asset” on January 21, 2011 from 9:00-4:30 in the Pleasant’s Family Room of Wilson Library on the UNC-CH campus. Continental breakfast will be served from 8 am until 9 am in the seminar room and a boxed lunch will be included as well.
This workshop will be for All JISC Managing Research Data Programme Projects as well as invited stakeholders. Workshop participants will analyse and evaluate the outputs and progress of the JISCMRD Programme. Workshop sessions will consider the guidance material, model data management plans, case studies and working infrastructure produced by the projects – where demos are appropriate they will be encouraged.
This annual event brings together professionals in the field of Education and Technology. It is an excellent opportunity to share your experiences and projects with educators and professionals from all parts of the world.
