Saying goodbye to any member of DCC staff is always poignant even as we wish them well in their new role. But it is with particular sadness that I announce the forthcoming departure of Sarah Jones, the DCC's Associate Director at Glasgow, who has been a mainstay of our work since she joined HATII in 2006. Sarah will be leaving us at the end of June to take up a new role at GÉANT as their EOSC Engagement Manager on July 1st 2020.
The DCC and Royal College of Art are hosting a virtual RDMF event on the 3rd of June 2020. We have a number of excellent speakers lined up and we will use the best online tools to make an engaging and informative event about the management of Arts Data.
Welcome to the all-new Digital Curation Centre website! It feels like the right time for a refresh with our growing team and increasing international engagements through our dedicated consultancy, trainings and project-focussed work.
The ESRC template in DMPonline is based on the ESRC policy and DMP guidance for ESRC researchers provided by the UK Data Service. The sections and guidance suggested in the UKDS guidance are used to provide context to the short bulleted list of requirements provided in the policy.
We periodically review the various inputs used to create DMP templates and make updates where necessary to ensure our content is as up-to-date as possible. A few minor changes were made to the template in DMPonline on 4th June 2020. These don't change the content significantly and only introduce a few slight rewordings and fix broken links.
When I returned from Australia in late March and handed in my notice, three months sounded so long away. It has passed insanely quickly in a blur of zoom calls, online events and endless email. Now is my final few days with the DCC team. This time next week, I’ll be in Amsterdam gearing up to start a new role with GEANT.
