Re-engineering libraries for the Data Decade

DCC Associate Director Liz Lyon gave a keynote speech on Wednesday 8 February 2012 at the VALA2012 conference in Melbourne, Australia. The talk entitled 'The informatics transform : re-engineering libraries for the Data Decade' looks primarily at research data and considers how librarians fit into the data space.
Registration now open for DCC Roadshow Northwest England

Registration is now open for the DCC Roadshow for the Northwest of England. The event is being organised in conjunction with The Library, University of Salford.

The roadshow runs between 20-21 March 2011, and will be held at the the Clifford Whitworth Building, University of Salford.

The programme includes an exciting range of speakers who will share examples of developing research data management services and infrastructure.

Promoting information literacy for HE researchers
 
Stéphane Goldstein, Research Information Network (RIN), has authored an article for LIBER Quarterly that summarizes the collaborative approaches fostered by the RIN Working Group on Information Handling and the DaMSSI project. 
 
The DCC is a member of the working group and led the work of the DaMSSI project.
