We are pleased to announce a range of exciting speakers for IDCC17 from the welcome at the Pre-Conferece Drinks Reception through to the close of the conference on Wednesday 22 February.

We're running BoFs - Birds of a Feather sessions - for the third time this year at IDCC. This news item explains what they are for, how to propose a BoF session and how the sessions will be selected.

Our keynote speaker in Wolfson Hall at 9.30am on Wed 22 February will be Professor Chris Williams, Professor of Machine Learning at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh.

What would a 250-year old museum look like if it were data driven?  What are the benefits that can be delivered to museum visitors – and to staff – if we use institutional and operational data in innovative ways?  And how best do we start data conversations with staff members who are handling data in their daily work but don’t identify themselves as data practitioners?
