Although this event was primarily aimed at representatives from local institutions, archivists, software developers and people from commercial organisations with an interest in digital curation, digital preservation and a passion to learn more about our work also attended.
This event followed on from the Digital Asset Management with Fedora and METS awareness events which took place on the preceding two days. Although this event was primarily aimed at representatives from local institutions, Computing, Information and Library Services and members of Science faculties with an interest in digital preservation and a passion to learn more about our work also attended.
This event offered many people an opportunity to meet and talk with DCC representatives. The meeting's agenda incorporated a brief presentation detailing the role of the DCC and a discussion session where attendees could describe their own digital curation efforts, any concerns they had and any expectations they had of the DCC.
We held our inaugural DCC Information Day aimed at representatives of Computing, Information and Library Services and Science Faculties at Centre Point, London from 12.00pm - 3.00pm. This was the first in a series of meetings across the UK.
