The DCC is involved in a few European Commission funded projects at the moment, namely FOSTER, OpenAIRE and EUDAT. On each we're providing training and support about open data, data management planning and Horizon 2020.

Last week, Tony and I gave a basic introduction to research data management. This joint OpenAIRE / EUDAT webinar had over 200 participants and we received a great range of questions. The slides and webinar recording are available online, and we also wrote up the Q&A session.

For a more in-depth walkthrough of the Horizon 2020 Open Research Data pilot, why not take the online tutorial developed by the FOSTER project? There are versions of this tutorial in Portuguese and Polish, and we'll be running a moderated session from 6-10 June, with a webinar on 10th to reinforce what you've learned. More details are on the FOSTER event page

If your burning questions are on Data Management Plans, join me and Marjan Grootveld for the second joint OpenAIRE / EUDAT webinar on 7th July at 11am CET. We'll be giving you some advice on how to write a plan, which will be all the more important from 2017 when the EC pilot becomes a mandate that applies to all work areas. Save the date for now - registration to come.

The DCC will also be running an Advanced DMPonline training session in London on 12th July. If you want to learn more about customising the tool, please join us for the day at UEL.

There are lots of opportunities to learn more so please spread the word!
