It has been some time since our last user group and after some brainstorming how to do this effectively in the virtual environment, we thought that discussing new features that you would like to see would be a useful exercise at this point in time. Patricia suggested to ask you to raise the issues prior the session as an open discussion is more difficult online and this helped us structure the event. We have decided to run a half day event with a coffee break. We divided the day into two halves where in the first part we gave an update on the service and introduced the concept of voting, and in the second part we had the opportunity to discuss the features that gained the most votes. The agenda has now been updated with links to the presentation from the day which you can access here. In this blog post you will find out how we run the day, what we learned from the discussion and what our plans are going ahead.
Repository registry services are an essential component of the FAIR ecosystem as they help researchers to navigate through thousands of data repository services to find the ones that are most suitable to store and provide access to their research outputs and to enable them to search for and repurpose FAIR data created by others. This webinar will introduce two leading registry services - re3data and FAIRsharing - and help you to understand how using these services can improve the visibility of your repository service for a wide range of end users - both human and machines.
We have been in touch with our subscribed clients few months ago, asking you to provide testing institutional log-in accounts. In this blog post we explain what the institutional log-in is on our website, how this can be installed for your organisation if you have not done so yet and reasons why we ask you to provide test or guest accounts.
After a pause in hosting RDMF- we were busy with IDCC and the RDA Plenary - we brought RDMF back in a virtual setting. The virtual format allows for a wide range of speakers highlighting a range of international cases and approaches in the keynotes and lightning talks as well as insights from participants in the discussion sessions.
