Pre-Conference Drinks Reception

The drinks reception will be held on the evening of Monday 19 February at the Dome, located at the apex of NH Collection Barcelona Tower.

The glazed Dome sits at the top of the 29-storey tower where IDCC18 takes place. At 105 meters (344 ft) high and featuring a glass roof, the restaurant, which is only available to private events, offers magnificent views of the city.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday 20 February at Aguelo013

Located at the historirc Barri Gòtic, Aguelo013 holds a piece of the city's history, as one of its walls is part of the old roman rampart.

The Gothic Quarter is the centre of the old city of Barcelona. It stretches from La Rambla to Via Laietana, and from the Mediterranean seafront to the Ronda de Sant Pere. It is a part of Ciutat Vella district.

The quarter encompasses the oldest parts of the city of Barcelona, and includes the remains of the city's Roman wall and several notable medieval landmarks. Much of the present-day fabric of the quarter, however, dates to the 19th and early 20th centuries. El Call, the medieval Jewish quarter, is located within this area, along with the former Sinagoga Major.

The Barri Gòtic retains a labyrinthine street plan, with many small streets opening out into squares. Most of the quarter is closed to regular traffic although open to service vehicles and taxis.

Conference Venue

The conference will be held in NH Collection Barcelona Tower. The hotel, formerly known as Hesperia Tower, is in Barcelona’s new business and financial district, between the airport and the city center. • 10 minutes from the airport and 5 from Barcelona’s fairgrounds
  • landmark building designed by British architect, Richard Rogers – the man behind the Pompidou Center in Paris
