If you are a speaker or presenter, the process is as simple as logging in on Whova and using Zoom. Please refer to the dedicated 'Instructions for delegates' webpage.

Things to do when you first log in to Whova:

  • Set up your profile.
  • Add sessions to your schedule by clicking the Attend button. You can also add sessions to your calendar.

System requirements

The Whova event platform works best using Chrome or Firefox browsers. Safari is typically the least stable for the most up-to-date content.

For the best audio and video experience, the most important thing is a strong internet connection. WiFi or a direct cable connection will both work as long as you have a strong signal.

The recommended internet speed is at least:

Download speed 2-10 mbps

Upload speed 3-5 mbps

Check your security settings on your computer to make sure Whova and Zoom are allowed to access your camera and microphone. You can also contact Whova support at support@whova.com

Sessions will be carried out using Zoom so please ensure you have the application installed in advance.

Technical support

The IDCC22 organising team will be available at the beginning of each session to help you start. If you experience any technical issues, contact the helpdesks by clicking on the ‘Community’ on the left-hand side menu of the Whova interface and select ‘Inform IDCC22 organizers about an issue ‘. Alternatively, you can email us at info@dcc.ac.uk. We will be constantly monitoring both channels.
