Steve Morris of North Carolina State University (NCSU) Libraries discussed a project conducted with the U.S. Library of Congress in conjunction with the fairly new National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program (NDIIPP) as part of the Scottish Database Interest Group [external] seminar season at The School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, Appleton Tower 2nd floor seminar room (2.02). The DCC was a co-sponsor of this event.
Dr Liz Lyon, Associate Director (Outreach), presented From research data to new knowledge: a lifecycle approach at the CNI-JISC-SURF Conference, Amsterdam. The conference "Making the strategic case for institutional repositories" was organised by SURF, The Coalition for Networked Information, CNI, and the Joint Information Systems Committee in the UK, JISC.

The 8th DCC regional roadshow took place on 7-8th February at Burleigh Court in Loughborough.
The roadshow was organised in conjunction with the Department of Information Science at the University of Loughborough.
The 9th DCC regional roadshow will take place on 20th and 21st March at the University of Salford.
We are delighted to announce that the event will be opened by Professor Martin Hall, Vice Chancellor of the University of Salford and Chair of the UK Open Access Implementation Group.
